What’s the use of worryin?
What’s the use of frettin’?
The language will pull through somehow.
That’s what I am bettin’.

I used to grind my teeth at this.
I used to knit my brow.
But I was so much older then.
I’m younger than that now.

I used to act the sentinel.
I used to cry out “Foul!”
If then I was a budgie, well,
Perhaps I’m now an owl.

An owl, I say? That’s pretty rich!
There’s not much wisdom here,
But where I might have once complained,
I just reach for a beer.

No, neither is that really true,
But this I will report.
There’s so much stuff to see and do,
And life is far too short,

So I’ll just turn a stone deaf ear,
Let others point the gun,
(Let others do my dirty work?)
And keep on having fun!
